The National Gallery of Modern Art was established in Delhi's Jaipur House in 1954 and holds one of the most significant collections of modern Indian art in the country. The engagement focused on how the institution reads to contemporary audiences, opening the archive to a wider public while holding its scholarship intact.

The work positioned NGMA as a cultural surface where the modernists meet the present, articulated through curatorial storytelling, digital narrative and experiential programming.

Curatorial Storytelling on Digital Surfaces

A twelve-part reel series moved through the work of Nicholas Roerich and Amrita Sher-Gil, tracing symbolism, mountain landscapes, feminist framing and modernist movements. Companion content brought attention to lesser-known works in the collection and read chromatic language alongside international artistic correlations.

Art Beyond Canvas

An experiential evening translated selected artworks into scent, allowing audiences to encounter the collection through a different sensory register. Custom scent kits and institutional keepsakes carried the encounter beyond the gallery.

Micro-influencers from art, lifestyle and culture were embedded as guests of the evening, with guided walkthroughs and reflective testimony captured on the night.

A Wider Audience, Same Depth

The programme was structured so that digital momentum fed physical footfall. Followers moved from feed to gallery. The intellectual register of the institution was preserved through every choice of collaborator, caption and cut.
