Maikhana was conceived as an ode to Mandu's enduring relationship with water. Long before pools and pavilions, Mandu was a city shaped by reservoirs, stepwells and monsoon-fed tanks, palaces mirrored in still water, leisure unfolding at the water's edge.
At Nimaya Spa & Resort, Maikhana reinterprets this legacy as a poolside bar where time loosens its grip and leisure flows freely.
The idea of Maikhana, traditionally a house of drink, was reimagined through Mandu's lens. Here, indulgence is gentle, unhurried and reflective. By day, Maikhana carries the cool hush of an oasis. Flavours draw directly from the land, baobab pulp, tamarind tang, vetiver root, wild berries. As evening settles, the space transforms, lantern light shimmers on water, music hums softly.
The Maikhana identity was developed to feel fluid and unforced. Coasters and hand fans echo water ripples and monsoon breezes. Pool towels and canopy drapes carry colours drawn from dusk skies, wet stone and reflective water. Signature drinks, Baobab Breeze, Jaggery Old Fashioned, Monsoon Negroni, Vetiver Martini, translate Mandu's ecology into the glass.
